We
have carried out a very extensive range of policy formulation and appraisal
studies on economic public policy issues. These range from high
profile issues of the day to specialist policy topics. Experience spans
such diverse areas as tourism and travel, R&D, transport, environmental
protection, enterprise, rural and regional development, spatial planning and public service delivery.
In these and other areas the firm has a reputation for bringing its research
skills and clear thinking to bear on complex and sometimes sensitive public policy issues, and
for a strongly consensual yet evidence based approach to ways ahead.

Programme
Evaluation |
|
|
|
We have an unparalleled track record in programme evaluation in Ireland. Experience
spans investments under the four Irish National Development Plans (1989-93,
1994-99, 2000-06, 2007-13), as well as value-for-money analyses. A diverse range
of investment programmes have been examined including programmes relating
to industrial development, SMEs, tourism, agriculture and rural development,
infrastructure, and human resources. Our skills are also widely used when
public bodies examine the efficiency, effectiveness and impact of their
activities as a basis for strategic choices regarding future priorities.
Value-for-money studies under the government's Strategic Management Initiative
is a recent focus of our programme evaluation services.

our consultants draw on a wide range of data collection and quantitative
analysis techniques. In all our sectoral and market research the aim is
not simply to provide information but to add value to our clients through
focused research. Markets which we have examined include food, healthcare,
tourism energy and financial services.
